Resistive Heating

Heat generated in the core of the material.

Direct heating is one of the purest methods of transferring thermal energy: no interface, no radiating elements, just electric current passing through the material to be treated, generating heat exactly where it is needed.

What is resistance heating?

Direct heating is based on the controlled passage of electric current through a conductive material, which generates heat through the Joule effect. This process allows the material to be heated from the inside, quickly, evenly and with minimal dispersion.

This technology is suitable for metal components such as steel, copper, aluminium, titanium or graphite, and is particularly effective when high energy efficiency, thermal responsiveness and no contact between the material and the external source are required.

Direct contact with efficiency

Direct heating technologies are the ideal solution when working with electrically conductive materials and seeking maximum efficiency and simplicity of construction.

It is perfect for applications where the geometry is compatible with direct current flow and no complex external sources are required, ensuring responsiveness, compactness and control.

Areas of application for resistance heating

Direct heating is a technology that is as essential as it is powerful, particularly appreciated in contexts where energy efficiency, rapid response and simplicity of construction are fundamental requirements.

It is ideal in all cases where the material to be treated is conductive and you want to transform it directly into the heat source, avoiding radiant elements or complex interfaces.

Beyond generative AI: how Machine Learning enters industrial processes

Machine learning enables production data to be transformed into useful information for recognising defects, identifying anomalies and adjusting the process. Supervised learning, unsupervised learning and reinforcement learning offer different possibilities depending on the objectives and the data available. Integrating them requires combining algorithmic expertise with an understanding of physical phenomena in order to meet the plant’s specific needs.

Electrothermal technologies for pharmaceutical granulation: new possibilities for machinery and processes

Microwave, radio frequency and induction are the electrothermal technologies that can offer new prospects for energy transfer and control in pharmaceutical granulation processes, particularly in those stages where heat input is integral to the process, such as drying, conditioning and melting. For companies that develop production lines and machinery, this opens up real opportunities to make the granulation process faster, more controllable and more efficient.
