Multiphysics Simulations

We simulate the physical behaviour of thermal and electromagnetic systems to help you validate, optimise and innovate before you even start building.

We are certified partners of COMSOL, the leading software for multiphysics simulation

We analyse the physical behaviour of your systems before building them

We perform 2D and 3D multiphysics simulations using FEM (Finite Element Method) software to accurately analyse any physical phenomenon, including electromagnetic heating, thermal processes and complex fluid dynamics.

Starting from CAD models, we create a virtual environment in which objects physically interact with each other over time and across the frequency spectrum, reducing the time and cost of developing new products or technologies.

Stand-alone app for customised simulations

Thanks to our partnership with COMSOL Multiphysics, we are able to create customised stand-alone apps to make simulation accessible and adaptable to everyone.

From fluid behaviour to heat management, to the simulation of complex processes in real environments or products, it is a flexible and scalable tool, useful for companies and professionals in various sectors who want to make more informed decisions, reduce development costs and innovate quickly.

Why simulate:

Multiphysics simulations are a strategic tool for rapid, accurate and sustainable innovation. They allow the behaviour of complex products and processes to be studied before the experimental phase, reducing the time, costs and risks associated with development.

This approach optimises investments, accelerates time-to-market and breaks down the initial barriers to innovation, making each new design phase more efficient and accessible.

When to simulate:

The service is recommended whenever a company wants to introduce a new solution to optimise products or processes, reducing the risks and costs associated with the experimental phase.

It is also particularly useful when scenarios need to be simulated continuously and repetitively, with the flexibility to modify materials, geometries or operating conditions in order to analyse each variable before moving on to reality.

Output provided:

At the end of the project, we provide a detailed technical report documenting the entire simulation process, including a description of the objective, the modelling method adopted, the approach used to address the problem, and virtual prototyping.

The results include numerical data, graphs, 3D visualisations, heat maps, temperature profiles, time evolutions and, if relevant, electromagnetic and fluid dynamic fields, providing a comprehensive, readable and useful overview to support technical or design decisions.

Electrothermal technologies for pharmaceutical granulation: new possibilities for machinery and processes

Microwave, radio frequency and induction are the electrothermal technologies that can offer new prospects for energy transfer and control in pharmaceutical granulation processes, particularly in those stages where heat input is integral to the process, such as drying, conditioning and melting. For companies that develop production lines and machinery, this opens up real opportunities to make the granulation process faster, more controllable and more efficient.

R&D Highlights

English: EMPowerMet: Europe’s Circular Titanium Future

EMPowerMet is a European project focused on developing a more circular, energy-efficient and resilient titanium value chain. By combining advanced recycling and manufacturing technologies, the project will transform titanium scrap and end-of-life components into new high-performance products. inovaLab will contribute by developing a localised induction heating system designed to reduce crack formation risks and minimise energy consumption.
