Our history
2004
Academic origins
inovaLab was founded as a spin-off in 2004 within the Electrothermal Laboratory of the University of Padua (LEP), one of the oldest and most prestigious academic institutions in Europe, a long-standing reference point for scientific research.
In this context, we have developed an approach based on methodological rigor, experimentation, and continuous innovation, combining academic expertise and industrial innovation.
2008
Entry into the industrial sector
In 2008, inovaLab became part of the SAET Group, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems.
This integration allowed us to introduce new, innovative solutions in the field of industrial induction, expanding our expertise and consolidating our position as a benchmark in the industry.
2014
Acquisition by AJAX TOCCO, an American international group
In 2014, AJAX TOCCO, part of the American industrial group PARK OHIO, acquired the SAET Group.
inovaLab officially became an international company, operating with clients worldwide.
2016
Back to Italian ownership
In 2016, with the entry of Enrico Franzolin Holding (EFH), inovaLab returned to Italian ownership.
This step strengthened our ties with the local community and ensured greater strategic autonomy, paving the way for a new phase of growth that led, in subsequent years, to our becoming a subsidiary of the UNOX Group, further consolidating our solidity and capacity for innovation.
2025
inovaLab today
Today, we are an independent company that works closely with companies and research centers, applying advanced expertise in electrothermal and electromagnetic technologies to concrete projects.
Our academic roots continue to guide us, but it is in our daily engagement with the needs of the manufacturing world and applied innovation that we find our direction.
